Find what’s making things harder. Then edit it.

THE FRICTION EDIT

You know the things you want to do.

Move more. Eat better. Spend less. Get organised. Have more time. Stop feeling like everything takes so much effort.

But knowing what would make life better and actually making it work are two very different things.

The Friction Edit looks at what sits between where you are and what you’re trying to do — the decisions, systems, habits, environment, expectations, responsibilities and everyday practicalities that can quietly make things harder.

Then we work out what needs to stay, what could change and what simply doesn’t need to be this difficult.

Because sometimes the answer isn’t more effort.
It’s less unnecessary friction.

WHAT IS FRICTION?

The things that make things harder than they need to be.

Sometimes it’s not the thing you’re trying to do.
It’s everything around it.

You want to train before work.

But your clothes aren’t ready. You haven’t decided what workout you’re doing. You’re already tired. The gym means leaving earlier. You need to sort breakfast. And suddenly a 45-minute workout requires twelve other things to happen first.

You want to eat differently.

But there’s nothing in the fridge. You finish work late. Everyone needs feeding. You’re making decisions when you’re already exhausted.

You want to feel more organised.

But information lives in six different places, you’re carrying things around in your head and every day seems to involve remembering, deciding and reacting.

That’s friction.

Often, the thing we think we need more discipline to do is surrounded by small obstacles making it unnecessarily difficult.

The Friction Edit helps you find them.

Some things are supposed to take effort.

NOT ALL FRICTION IS BAD

Training takes effort.

Having difficult conversations takes effort.

Learning something new takes effort.

Changing a habit takes effort.

Doing something that matters to you can be uncomfortable, inconvenient and difficult.

That isn’t necessarily the friction we need to remove.

The Friction Edit separates the effort that has value from the friction that simply drains you.

Then we ask:

Is this helping me grow — or simply making things harder?

Remove the friction that drains you. Keep the friction that grows you.

ZOOM OUT

Your friction probably doesn’t live in one neat little box.

Neither does your life.

We can look across:

HOME
Your environment, clutter, organisation and the things you repeatedly have to manage.

MONEY
Bills, payments, spending, financial admin and decisions you keep having to make.

FAMILY & RELATIONSHIPS
Responsibilities, communication, expectations and the mental load you’re carrying.

TIME
Your diary, routines, transitions, commitments and where your time actually goes.

FOOD
Shopping, planning, cooking, feeding other people and what happens when you’re tired or busy.

ADMIN & DIGITAL LIFE
Emails, appointments, passwords, paperwork, notifications, apps and everything demanding your attention.

WORK
How you work, what drains you, boundaries, systems and recurring pressure points.

MOVEMENT
What has to happen before you can actually exercise — and what keeps getting in the way.

ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING Because this is your Friction Edit — and where your friction exists may not fit neatly inside one of these boxes.

We’re looking for the things costing you time, energy, thought or effort that don’t need to.

We zoom out.
Then we edit.

YOUR FRICTION EDIT

01 — BEFORE WE MEET

YOUR FRICTION AUDIT

You’ll receive The Friction Edit workbook before our session.

It helps you notice where things repeatedly feel difficult, frustrating, time-consuming or heavier than they need to be.

Complete as much or as little as feels useful.

02 — I REVIEW

I LOOK FOR THE PATTERNS

Before we meet, I review what you’ve shared and start identifying recurring friction, connections and areas worth exploring further.

Because sometimes the problem showing up in one part of your life is being created somewhere else entirely.

03 — WE EDIT

YOUR 1:1 FRICTION EDIT

We spend around two hours together zooming out and looking at the whole picture.

We’ll question what’s happening, identify what’s creating unnecessary friction and decide what could be removed, reduced, automated, delegated, organised or redesigned.

Not to make your life effortless.

To make sure your effort is going somewhere worthwhile.

04 — YOU LEAVE WITH THE EDIT

YOUR PERSONALISED FRICTION EDIT REPORT

After our session, I’ll bring everything together into your personal Friction Edit Report.

The friction we found.

What we decided.

Your priority edits.

What you’re keeping.

What you’re changing.

And the practical next steps we found.

You don’t leave a great conversation and then have to remember everything when real life starts again.

Do it yourself.
Or let’s do it together.

START WHERE THINGS FEEL HARD

You might not need to try harder.
You might need to make things easier to do.

You don’t need to know exactly where the friction is before we start.

That’s what we’re going to find.
